Elegant, focused, finely tuned CNDP with layered aromatics and textural complexity. Raspberry coulis, crushed blackberries, juniper, exotic spices, some menthol from its whole cluster fermentation, iron, violet. Day two has led to more personality in the fruit with garrigue and pastille accents coming through, perhaps some hung meat emerging. The streak of iron throughout is captivating at the moment. This will be even more beautiful as it continues to develop in bottle. — 6 days ago
Have always adored these wines. Traditional, full of soul and character. Would never call this 15 years old, fresh as a daisy. Ripe citrus, grilled pineapple, golden apple, iodine, anchovy, damp earth, mushroom, spring honey, tarte tartin, herbs. The warmth of the year is present in its upfront fruit, but it all departs salty mineral with persistent cut. — 14 days ago
One of of my favorite vineyards in CA and a gem in Turley’s portfolio. Spanning 1890s to 1900s plantation of some very unique varietals, this always has a signature to it that I don’t always find in field blends. Rich in body while always maintaining beautiful texture and liveliness. Aromatics are always unique and compelling in their own right. I used to think this would be best at 10-15 year mark but the more I try it I think this site drinks its best at the 3-5 year mark from vintage. — 11 days ago
Was happy to get this in the glass again for it has been a long time. Simply juicy, well fruited with a supple creamy texture, inviting nose, clean and refreshing palate marked by bright acidity. Ultra-ripe bing and rainier cherry, clafouti, red currant, confections, leesy goodness and mineral notes. 12/2018 disgorgement — 16 days ago
What delicious and refreshingly joyful wine. Crisp, floral, loaded with aromatic citrus and stone fruit character, a defined salinity throughout. I find some classic GB green almond in there as well. Love how humble Steve Edmunds’ wines are.

Lucid, pure Grenache, elegant with soft caressing tannins. Captures the vintage and place so well. Not a complex or beguiling wine but simply beautiful and drinking great right now. Nice to see it unwind some since LBT. Over ripe strawberry confiture, lavender, garrigue, macerated raspberry, warm earth. — 13 days ago
