Orlando, FL. Ever searching for perfect pairings. And yes, I've been to Savigny Les Beaune, and they weren't impressed!

50% Cab, 50% Merlot. One of the darkest colored wines I've had. I think a couple more years in the bottle has balanced out the influence of the oak. Still some heavy tannins, but the fruit is in step with it along with some lovely vanilla and leather / tobacco leaf notes. A pleasure to consume. — 2 days ago
Impressive richness mid-palate with notes of green apple and lemon, also some honey suckle. Has some mineral presence too. Great acidity but a bit thin on the nose, maybe it's the Chard glass. Will give some time to the next bottle. Outstanding example of Cali Chenin. — 16 days ago
A simple uncomplicated Rosso that the Botter family made to celebrate the carefree, drink-it-with-anything moments, like a Florida afternoon down pour that gives way to a Tortellini Bolognese delivery order instead of going out. Blend of 60% Sangiovese, 30% Cab, 10% Merlot, aged 11 months in a combination of large wood casks and smaller 225 liter barriques, 2/3 being French & 1/3 American oak. It shows a floral quality of lilac and lavender. Also black plum, cherries, and fig. Good weight and texture, with tannins and acidity framing the long finish. Very pleasant, especially good QPR for $13.50. — 17 days ago
