Exactly what it should be. A silky smooth, medium bodied cherry bomb with some spice and a touch of earth to back it. For $15 I’ll take this all day — 6 years ago
Vanilla and roasted cocoa on the nose. Palate is tart/under ripe red fruits up front (think cranberry, current, young raspberry). Followed by cocoa and herbal notes. Soft tannins keep the party rolling — 7 years ago
Fantastic wine. Great mineral character, supple fruits and just enough acid — 6 years ago
It gets the job done but not great. Many budget wines I’d take over this — 7 years ago
Nose is a touch abrasive with the young oak. Palate is laden with nondescript red fruits, finishes with a thin tannic twang. Tough to beat at $8 — 7 years ago
Enormous body, zippy alcohol, deep fruits and heavy tannins. Needs a heavy dish to offset it — 6 years ago
Great recommendation from the somm at del frisco. Nuanced nose of jammy dark fruits, cedar, vanilla, and lavender. Palate matches with blackberry, late season cranberry, vanilla, and dry oaky tannins. Finish lasts forever. Very pleasant surprise from a producer I didn’t know — 7 years ago
