James Suckling gave this vintage 94 points with flavors of sliced apple pear & creamed aroma flavors. I personally give this wine 90 points. It does have a crisp apple & pear flavor but the creaminess I truly love in American Chards is not as prominant as I'd like & the finish is good but a bit sour. I think this Chard would benefit from some age & would taste better in 2 to 3 yrs, if not more /
I drank the rest of this Chard on the second day and it was delish. Even more creaminess on the palate and the finish was much another and longer, couldn't taste any of the alcohol from the previous day. Today, I'd rate this Chard at 92 points. What a difference a day makes. — 7 years ago
