Awesome. Typical Alban nose, motor oil but never heavy. Grenache in Syrah clothing

Luxurious black and red fruit with plenty of structure left that lands right on top of the tongue. Plenty of life left in this one.

Wow. Absolutely spectacular. Normally I view grenache as something to drink a bit younger in order to preserve the brightness of the fruit, but John Alban proves me wrong yet again. This wine envelops you like a velvet glove of fruit, spice, and sweet tannins even at the ripe old age of 15. My only regret is that this is the last bottle of this vintage we have in the cellar, because I think this will last at least another 4-6 years. Just amazing.

Typical,
Another great well aged Alban🤷🏼‍♂️

Stats from someone, but not me per norm

The 2006 Grenache looks spectacular, and may turn out to be the finest Grenache John Alban has yet made. Made from cuttings taken from the famed Chateau Rayas in Chateauneuf du Pape, it possesses an un-Grenache-like inky/purple color as

Perfect wine with Thanksgiving turkey. Rich, but not over the top. Bright red fruit. Lively and bright. Wish I had more.

Classic Alban Grenache. Fruity complex with an iodine finish. I love this stuff.

Stunning, rich and smooth. Striking red fruit and spicy nose. Worth waiting a decade in the cellar. A great American wine for the 4th of July.
