Fragile - I don't believe it’s pronounced frah-ghee-lay - has a big, bright nose full of big, bright red fruit. A bit of heat pokes its head through, too, owing to the 15% alcohol content. That cherry-red fruit comes through on the palate as well, with a boatload of acidity to boot. The winery notes say Fragile pairs well with lighter fare and warm, sunny days. I'd have it with pork chops in a heartbeat. — 6 years ago
Augustiner-Brau-München Maximator dopplebock.
After an afternoon of stuffing homemade sausages as a fundraiser for our kid's school, there may be no better nightcap than this impeccable beer.
Chocolatey, toasty, very well balanced, even with its relatively high gravity, many new world brewers could learn something here.

Crisp. Balanced. Pure. Smooth. Downright delicious. Straight out of the chute nougat, caramel wafer, and lemon curd on the nose. Once it got up to ~65°F while in the glass, however, some spicier notes were brought forth like gingerbread & molasses cookies and spiced apple tart. On the palate very fresh and lively, yet showing a mature restraint that encourages you to sip it and savor it instead of gulp it, which would be quite easy to do. Love this stuff. Solid Chardonnay that was very enjoyable with dinner tonight. From what I could understand from the label, this is a Chardonnay heavy wine with Grechetto as the secondary grape variety. this one poured a little darker amber color than I was expecting. Nose was apricot, peach, and minerals. Entry of this wine was quite soft. Buttered popcorn with definitely more of a sweet citrus... Pineapple and ripe pear. Gains more acidity towards the middle and finish. Finishes with more of to stone-ground fruits and dried herbs. I think this wine is drinking really well right now. I don't really think this is going to improve any more in the bottle, so drink up! — 6 years ago

Dark ruby in color with a short, cloudy reddish rim.
Fruity nose with blackberries, blueberries, dried figs, vanilla, oak, chocolates, mocha, tobacco, light alcohol, spices and black pepper.
Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black plums, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, vegetables, pencil lead, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, coke, earth, bitter herbs and peppercorn.
Medium plus in finish with fine tannins and tangy raspberries.
This Napa Valley red blend is very young, but already drinking nicely. Showing nice complexity with a great mouthfeel.
Good by itself or with food. A good sipping wine. Needs an hour to open up properly, show some tannins and remove some acidity. Will be better in 3 to 7 years.
As it opens up (3 hours) it gets very earthy, and feels like a South American Cabernet Sauvignon.
A very interesting wine. Not one to drink just yet, as it needs a few years to come to its own. Has a good potential to be a 92+ wine in 5 years time.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
A blend of 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Petite Sirah and 30% Syrah. Aged for 18 months in French Oak barrels, new and slightly used.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.

Dr. Owen Bargreen
The 2017 Knudsen Vineyards Chardonnay was sourced from their estate vineyard in the Dundee Hills AVA of the Willamette Valley. Weighing in at 13.5% alcohol, this starts off with a bouquet of Meyer lemon zest, Challah bread, Pink Lady apple and shades of clove. The palate reveals a silky texture and a soft mouthfeel that feels more than inviting. There is a wonderful feeling of elegance to this wine as it drifts through the palate in a seamless fashion. Citrus fruit and melon flavors connect with the bright minerality. Showing beautifully now, this will continue to develop lovely nuances as it evolves over the next decade or more.
