Nose of slate and smoke, but some of that rich fruit you'd expect from Picq. Fresh and crisp in the mouth with just a little bit of that Picq richness. Long, mineral-rich finish. Great now and for several years. — 10 years ago
Blackberry jam and raspberry syrup on the nose. Chewy and dense. Anise on the finish. Drink now. — 10 years ago
Nose of smoke and truffles expands to cherry and earth as the wine opens up. Dense and rich in the mouth, medium-to-full bodied, with a long, complex finish that doesn't end. The dusty tannins are just beginning to yield a drinkable wine; good now through 2023. — 10 years ago
Popcorn and limestone on the nose. Nice acidity and grip in the mouth. Classic Meursault. — 10 years ago
Apple, ginger, and white flowers on the nose. Crisp in the mouth, with citrus and stone. Nice acidity. Wonderful Finger Lakes Riesling. — 10 years ago
(NV) Lime, chamomile, honey, and slate on the nose. Lean in the mouth but capped by a long, intense finish. — 10 years ago
Nose of lemon, pineapple, and wet stone. Not as broad or fruity in the mouth as the nose, more classic Chablis than François Raveneau, with high acid and a finish of crushed oyster shell. Beautiful. Drink over the next decade. — 10 years ago
Albesani is a vineyard on the same hill as Santo Stefano. Gorgeous, perfumed nose of dark cherry, rose, truffle, and underbrush. This is a tremendous sleeper of a wine. Good now and for 10+ years. — 10 years ago
Huge nose of stewed cherry, cigar box, and leather. Big and brooding in the mouth with a long finish of savory herbs. Still some tannins; this is just now coming into its own. Good now through 2025. — 10 years ago

Nose of roses and truffles evolves to dried herbs and balsamic notes. Wonderfully complex in the mouth, with integrated tannins and a long fruit finish. Although this opened up nicely with decanting, it has plenty of years left to evolve. Savor now through 2025. — 10 years ago
