Would like to try some more valpolicellas because this one felt like a great introduction; solid, not too overwhelming in its dried fig and raisin flavors but still intriguingly different from other reds in the region.

A full bodied wine with a delicate nose of sour cherry and wild berries. Decent acidity, soft and velvety. Pairs well with grilled red meat.

Characteristic Valpolicella on the front end, but less follow through and complexity than would expect especially from a ripasso.

Solid pizza wine. Cherry, spice, warm tannins, nice bit of earthy funk in the background.
