Every year, this wine dependably displays a terroir-soaked, old school character that I love. Nose has dark cherry, tons of crushed rocks, with spices borne on little wings of acidity ticking the nostrils. Nostrils. What a weird name. Minerally, brambly, and darkly savory in the mouth. This estate is to Grenache what Saint Joseph is to Syrah. Great value to boot.
