This wine was pretty amazing and according to @mykenice 2002 was not a great vintage. A Bordeaux blend in a refined style but showing some spice similar to Syrah. I'll definitely have my eye out for @yarra_yering in the future. #YarraValley #AustralianWine

You almost hate to admit how good this is. Seriously dense, seriously rich but at the same time it's so structured and it does initially make you work for it. The nose shows so much ripe black currant and black currant jam, new furniture, gutter leaves and mocha tobacco. I could genuinely sniff this forever. Black fruits and gentle tannin spread all through the gob. It's the type of wine you can tell that the tannin has settled into something so gentle. Plush, fresh acidity and long generous finish. This is that good

Overly tangy initially, but gradually transformed into an elegant powerful Bordeaux style wine with rich notes of blueberry, black cherry, raspberry, pencil lead, and sandalwood. Superb.

Actually delectable it's an elegant blend of predominately Cabernet Sauvignon with Malbec, Merlot and Petite Verdot. Lots of fresh fruit (considering it's 10 years on) cassis, red current. Still can hold this one for some time.

From the Bailey Carrodus years. Claret style, lovely, lively, uniquely Yarra Yering. Finesse and structure, a bit earthy. Glad I have a few more!
