Always feel like this wine could use some bottle age. Would be good to lay down for a year or two to see what it does. Funky out the gate and needed some air. Shook the bottle vigorously for 10 seconds to pump stove air into it. Second glass was much better. Lots of potential.

Ripe, white fruit and some acetone. Sweet, honey and cardboard and good acidity. Not bad.

Ripe apples and lemon on the nose. Starts off fresh and has a very oaky finish. Enjoyed but didn’t love.

Viognier is a relatively new varietal for me but really reminds me of a cross between a Sav Blanc and a Chardonnay. It’s got the nice citrus notes but also some of the buttery richness. Excellent in the cooler months with a bowl of chili or grilled chicken. Love this bottle for flavor and great price.

Dry but enough fruitiness on initial tasting that is satisfying. Flavor tends to fall off quickly though. I still enjoyed it. Good for the price. Got it at Wegmans Leesburg.
