Catapult McLaren Vale Shiraz

Medium ruby red with garnet edges. Asian five spice on the nose, crushed gravel, pepper and dark fruits. Medium tannins (5.5/10) and medium bodied. Minerality on the palate with some dark berries, pepper and some spices. Medium plus to long finish. Drink till 2020.

Blackcurrant , dark chocolate . Love the style of Wirra Wirra wines . Perfect balance

Unexceptional, powerful, fruity, spicy aromas; low acid-high alcohol, smooth tannins, and ripe jammy fruits and a hefty portion of oak. Had with "happy outdoor piglet"-filé and stomped Essunga-potatoes - which paired fairly well. At Albert's Trollhättan, Sweden.

This has a nice aromatic nose that balances out with the taste. This is a classic 2012 shiraz that should be tried.

#atlasofwine felt like taking a good picture tonight! I've been calling Atlas "The Superlative Kitten" because of our calling him the fluffiest, handsomest, cuddliest cat. He's also the most photogenic. (Proud dad disclosure.) McLaren Vale shiraz here and a darn good one! Loaded up on the lavender/violet, ripe forest blueberry jam with fresh cracked white pepper, dare I say eucalyptus, mint jelly, sandalwood. The palate delivers fresh dark fruit and is drier than expected. 👏🏼

Spicy and good! Awesome for cooking

This is probably my favorite out of the lot of 2012 southern Australian wines I tried. It has a subdued floral smell & taste to it. The aftertaste really rolls to the back of the tongue. I'll look for this again.

Very smooth. Fruits and berries.

Medium ruby color wine. Engaging plum, dark chocolate with hints of vanilla oak on the nose. Plenty of dark fruits on the palate with charming, velvety finish. Appropriate acidity and not too much tannin to my taste.

A little plum and velvety tannins. Slight spice on the finish
