Juicy, sweet fruited, textured and deep. Amazingly clear fruit and purity. Brambly, concentrated core of terrific fruit. This is incredibly impressive. The depth and fruit clarity make it stand out.

Jul 16th, 2020Great 1er Cru stuff here. Loads of spice and mid season cherry fruit. Smells velvety and deep. Palate is a lift up in complexity and structure from the Gutsweine. Sappy and remarkably sweet but also lovely and savory elements abound. Still needs an hour or two or a few years to unwind and improve. Terrific mouthfeel and freshness and lingering spice and mineral. Lovely sweet sour mineral on the finish. Really complex wine that in 2-3 years will have insane ROI. The 17 Gutsweine is better for today.
