Delivered the usual deliciousness that Selyem’s are known for. Barnyard and mushroom nose, with the explosive cherry strawberry combination. Yum.

Young or old, Selyem always shows up. Sweet red cherries, also hints of black raspberry, lavender, spicebox, racy acidity

Could use a few more years in the bottle.

Dark ruby color in the glass. Subtle nose with bright but silky fruit on initial taste. Maybe boysenberry or cranberry on the finish. The dark ruby look does not tie in with the light elegance of the wine. Paired nicely with fish and chicken.

A very nice 2008 Ferrington Vineyard WS with BBQ swordfish, papaya salsa, garlic roasted potatoes, fresh grilled asparagus, local organic red butter leaf, pomegranates, avocado and candied pecans in a balsamic vinegarette (Evvia olive oil) with good friends. What can be better than that!
