We decided to taste this Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley Vineyards up against their Whole Cluster Pinot Noir. Crimson red. Lots of red cherries and some floral notes on the nose. More fruit than the Whole Cluster. Some light caramel notes and sour cherry candy, which opened up to some light brick dust on day two. Moderate acidity (6.5/10) and best body of all three Pinot Noirs we got from WVV. Medium body with great backbone and a long finish. A little savory on the attack with a follow through of red cherries and a little candied fruit. Needs some time to level out. Hopefully the greenery and metallic notes will wear off. Drink till 2021.

Pronounced sense of earth and herb. Vegetal qualities balanced with deep red fruit. Cola and vanilla. Oak not fully integrated. Not a bad representation of vintage or price point.

A very great Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley Vineyards! Super tasty with notes of over ripe strawberry, red raspberry and cranberry with Earthy tones and spice to accompany.

Still sour not as bad as the others or maybe in getting use to it. It is not good. 2017 is not a good year, talking to Hal it sounds like it was just really hot that summer, which would have been bad for Pinots.

2017 Willamette Valley Vineyards. Fermented from uncrushed Pinot Noir grape clusters, retaining fresh fruit quality.
