We thoroughly enjoyed this ‘natural’ Shiraz!

Thank you Fourth Wave Wines for sending this sample of the Wild Folk Barossa Valley 2021 Shiraz over 😋

This natural red wine is:
- Wild yeast fermented
- Vegan
- Preservative free
- Unfined and unfiltered
- $28

We found it a rich purple berry colour in the glass (we went stemless for this one as the toddler was around and stemless glasses seem to be a safer option 😉). On the nose it’s rather savoury and farmy plus it has hints of pepper spice and dark fruits. In the mouth it’s elegant, well balanced and juicy.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

Dreadfully boring. An imitation “natural wine”. Over ripe, characterless, a classic example of a wine produced by a company completely uninterested in natural wine but sensing a marketing opportunity.
