Certainly a surprise. I believe this wine was built to age, and had plenty of sweet and savory wood to boost solid fruit. Great tension, and a pretty balance between, tannin to acid, structure and fruit. Still plenty of rhubarb and cranberry, with black strap molasses and earth, rose pedal. Tannins were fine and persistent. What a well crafted bottle of wine and I would easily take another.
