Tasted another bottle. Founded in 1883, Wente Vineyards is the country’s oldest family-owned winery. From a Single Vineyard Pinot Noir in Arroyo Seco, aromas of pure fruit and complex floral spice. On the palate strawberry and cherry flavors with black tea and herb spice. Firm tannins with a soft edge, well balanced, nice length ending with a fruit character. Nice easy drinking now Pinot!

Ruby in color with medium intensity and a purplish rim.

Nose of plums, pomegranate juice, strawberries, spices, wood, cloves, red candy, cola and light black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with blueberries, cherries, plums, vanilla, oak, espresso, caramel, spices, peppercorn and smoke.

Medium plus in finish with soft tannins and tart raspberries.

This is an above average Single Vineyard Pinot Noir. Good right out of the bottle. Simple, well balanced and enjoyable.

Good by itself or with food, and good for parties. The tangy finish is interesting and entertaining.

I paired it with a cheese plate and crackers.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

Light and dark fruit, including cherry and blueberry. Medium body Pinot with smooth tannins. Slight spice (pepper, cedar) in the back end. Short, pleasant finish. Will buy again.

Light Ruby in color with Medium intensity and a red rim.

On the nose, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, oak, earth, vanilla, licorice, barnyard, black pepper and spices.

Light to medium bodied with high acidity.

Dry and tart on the palate with cherries, strawberries, plums, red currants, wood, vanilla, licorice, earth, dirt, cloves, spices, almonds and peppercorn.

Short finish with soft tannins and tart cherries.

This Single Vinyard Pinot Noir, is definitely Drinkable, but not to my taste. Not one to be had by itself, better with food with a touch of bitterness on the ending. A bit unbalanced.
