Aug 21st, 2020Having this with Thai pork, scallion, noodle dish. Starts off with the classic “rubber-band” box aromas, some terpene-floral notes and with aeration, coconut- lime fragrance. Dry, long with a slight tannic snap on the finish.

Apr 29th, 2020Although this still isn't the pinnacle of elegance, I thought it was much better than the corresponding 2006, which I found too ripe, clumsy and alcoholic. Still oily, unctuous, big, bold and brawny. But it's quite nervous and ethereal and the fruit is fresh and succulent: peaches, apricot, red apples and cantalope. Spicy lemony acidity and wonderful minerality add interest and depth. Great wine.
