A very nice pinot from the Alto Adige region of Italy (NOT Germany), this is much softer than I was expecting with aromas of candied strawberries, cherries, and a subtle spice component. Guessing that 2016 was unusually warm given the (relatively) low acid profile. Overall a nice wine from the folks at Le Volpe e l’uva in Firenze!
