Stunning cherry on the nose. Mid season and sour. Very vivid. Floral and minty as well with lovely leafiness. Palate is stunning. Like a great 96 burg with tremendous fruit and huge acidity. Really needs an hour to get going as 2010 is still relatively young. Amazing texture that is silky and it is buoyed on the finish by stunning freshness, epic fruit and spice.

Stunnng stunning showing. The Franconian symphony on the nose. Nuts, chestnut? Big ripe red cherries, loads of spice. Super complex and stupidly aromatic. Stunning. A nose you shake your head at. Sweet sweet cherry fruit and huge high 2010 acidity and thunderous length. Even young.

Huge nose. Panoply of spice, bowl of dark cherries. Hints of tea. Very concentrated and powerful. Gorgeous sweet fruit, refined and elegant tannins. Huge acid (it is 2010) long, elegant and that acid again on the backend. Insane freshness and purity on the very very long finish.

Wow. This wine has finally arrived.

Still needs a 45 minute decant. Then you are drinking $150 Burgundy.

Nose is cherry flower, cherry lipstick.

Palate is perfect early season cherry. Texture is liquid silk. Heavenly internal aromatics.

Elegant cling finish. Silk scarf dropped by a courtesan. As it opens elegant cherry licorice on the finish.

Unscrew and pour. Super savory: black cherry, coffee, earth, damp leaf. singed herbs. I tried to entice my in-laws with this (and it was a good pairing for dinner, I swear) but it stood next to a Clos Vougeot, which although from '11 was more forward. Oh well, I enjoyed this. On the palate: loam and black cherry and coffee toast with a soft tannic finish.
