Smells like a Mosel interpretation of Barolo, yet it’s 100% Dornfelder. Blackberry, anise, tar, smoke and ashen scents. Like a Barolo/Taurasi hybrid. Palate is concentrated and elegant. Very juicy and pure. Black fruits and tar on the palate. Silky and slippery. Nice structure and just really terrific fruit. Bursting. All of this on a 12.5% alcohol frame.

Unfortunately, not that impressed. A little bit of rubbing alcohol on the nose but a low 13.5% vol. also some dark fruits. On palate i get some raisiny tartness. Almost amarone like but without the structure and complexity. Actually, somewhat flat with not much finish.
