Super fragrant nose lifted by spice, mint, haunting earth notes, stunning minerality, and a wicked pissah sense of place. Tart cherries and constantly unfurling stoney minerality capture the olfactory senses. Ripe and balanced with juicy fruit with ripe tannins and juicy mid season cherry fruit on the back end. Really lingers. Terrific concentration and again that just absurd mineral energy that comes through with some air on all of these Chat Sauvage wines. Nose opens up more and becomes increasingly complex. Man these are the ultimate burg ringers. Such a nice finish. Glides. Terrific lithe and elegant tannins. I’m sure my rating will increase with air.
