Not the worst for the price

This wine cost $4.99 at Trader Joes... For the price it can't be beat. Very bold flavor and a favorite of mine.

Cheapie from Trader Joe’s. Think I’ve had this before. Lion with a soccer ball in its paw on label. Smells a bit like licorice and smoked stuff. Flavors are rich and full. Hint of that tobacco leaf Carmenere is known for. Plenty of bittersweet complexity on the tongue. Enjoyable Bordeaux style red.

NOSE: Bright, spicy, acidic.

TASTE: Veggies, spices, red fruit. Metallic mineral taste - like a tin can. But a good deal for $5 - will try again. 82.

For $4.99 what can you expect, well this one is amazingly good

Another lion on the bottle like that French rosé last night. Must be a thing wines and lions. Dark as night in the glass. Smells like black currant preserves. And menthol. Flavors are dense and a blend of black currants, tobacco and black cherry. It’s well balanced if a bit simple. This is a very passable Carménére. I could drink this anytime and be feliz.

Blackberries, cherries, dark chocolate, cinnamon. I likes!

Hard coffee taste to it

Rich red with robust flavor. Would drink again

Color of pity, a bit berry and blue tone on the rim. Nose of ripe blackberry, raspberry, cherry jam, spice, carbonate, and medicinal strawberry. Nose is on par. Taste follows the nose with addition of ample acidity, a bit citrus zesty, and some bitterness. Aftertaste of some more oaky flavors. On par.
