Certainly one of the absolute best 1er crus in Chassagne, 2018 La Romanée from Dancer is superb tonight, of Grand Cru quality and particularly exceptional for the vintage. It’s bouquet is layered with ripe stone fruit, white flowers, toasted hazelnut and attractive reduction and its deeply concentrated palate has incredible vibrancy and lift, totally in focus and elegantly textured, giving way to a notably long mineral inflicted finish. Fantastic bottle.

Aug 6th, 2022The ripeness of 2013 but buffered by the acidity of a white peach note. And strong acidity. Better today than when opened yesterday. Would not have called it as a Chassagne. None left for tomorrow.

May 5th, 2018Apple sauce, cider, low acidity.
Is this what it should be?
Still don’t know if I like this.
No score.
