Young still. Lemon and steel. Rounded and lush with sweet edges. A long time ahead with this and not showing its structure yet but delicious.

Best of the night, great maturity versus energy ratio.

More umami-driven than the 2012-enoki mushrooms

Citrus and early season orchard fruit and acid. Lemonade, greengage plum, just ripe apricot and limestone minerality. I think this needs time - dosage sticks out a bit.

Our New Year’s Day tipple. Welcome to 2021. This Coeur du Cuvée had Toasty Lemon and freshly baked bread. An interesting changing palate with lemon/grapefruit/citrus dominating. Amazingly fresh for a 14 year old Champagne. 80% Chardonnay; 20% Pinot Noir. My first bottle of this a few years ago was more impressive. Expected a little more complexity.

A lovely nature. Rich nose with honeyed bread notes, citrus. Lovely and full on the palate with sweetness and complexity. Really good right now- a good time to drink it

Honey colored. Soft preserved lemon, brioche and fresh, steely acidity on the nose. Rounded and lush on the palate and very composed. A light honeyed sweetness and pretty floral notes with good acidity and decent length.

Tight and shiny at the front with a Granny Smith like acidity. On the palate poised and refreshing with more apples, faint lemon and stark minerality. Intense, refreshing and pleasantly steely for an 09. A long life ahead.

All shock and awe upon initial pop but eventually settles into a lovely groove of chalk, citrus, fresh green apple, biscuit dough. Super fine and effortlessly powerful and balanced. Another five years would be of substantial benefit. Give it some breathing room if you can’t hold off.
