Ernst Loosen Pfalz Pinot Noir

Very restrained nose. Then it opens with sour cherries, some dark hints. Lacking finesse, but good for the money

Sappy flat strawberry. Definitely a little meh but I guess you could do worse for $19 retail in a pinch. Ernst (Dr) Loosen winemaker. Stick to Riesling buddy

Lean and tart with cranberry and a bit of forest floor or mushroom on the nose. Good example of cool weather old world style Pinot Noir.

I liked this one from the get go. Bf didn't like it at all at first. A very light colored wine i genuinely questioned whether or not i would like it but it was surprisingly full of flavour and rich despite the deceptive grape juice colour and smell. Bf ended up appreciating it more by the end but i doubt this is a bottle we will get again, though I enjoyed the experience.
