Dark maroon color. Smells a bit prune-y, but also like tart dried fruits (cherries and Santa Rosa plum). Also a bit of funk. Flavor is pretty balanced. Tart cherries meet chocolates and hard berry candies. A bit of Sangiovese classic profile. The stem-y, grippy, tart cherry and black olives are oh so Italian and like-able. For table wine from the boot, it’s nice & bella.
