Special Release Hunter Valley Gamay

Darker than usual for a Gamay. Aromatic notes of raspberry, cherry and other red fruits - some stalky notes (50% whole bunch). On the palate raspberry with a jujube character with soft tannins. A well made delicious, drink now wine. From another good vintage in the Hunter to follow 2014 and 2017. Only 1600 bottles produced. Had another bottle 119 weeks later on 22nd April 2022 with similar notes. Still bright and fresh and downright delicious. An excellent Gamay from Tyrrells. They should make every year and I think they do now.
