Nose is very rocky with loads of flowers and fresh cherries and some cassis. Lovely wet earth as well. Echoes of Burgundy. Also that metal smell I get from Nerello and Etna wines. Fresh and energetic with an invigorating palate and not as much depth as the Chiuse Vidalba which is the high end cuvee but this is delicious and very well made. Nose has a floral-cassis thing that is so appealing. Nose now has hits of tar and forest floor. Really dig this. Super juicy and so pure. Excellent. Long as f.

Apr 15th, 2022Tart & savory with dried cherry, rose petals, shrub & dried herbs and the unmistakable volcanic rock. On the palate lean and mineral with dried cherry again, some cooling menthol and an etheric saline uplift towards the finish. Tannins a bit dry though. Nice one from Etna.

1 person found it helpfulJan 9th, 2019Hot rocks, plum skin, pipe smoke, rose petal, like a baby Barbaresco, but with a pithy, pumice, earth like scent. Very ripe, modern style of Nerello, I think the hot 12' vintage is a factor too...

Wow. Great wine! Flinty and smokey, made in an open knit style, kinda like a pinot noir that tries to impress like a cabernet. Black cherries and roasted red pepper. Easy going but with enough depth and length. Delicious.

Körsbär, tranbär/lingon och cassis, någon rökig ton samt omogen banan. Frejdiga tanniner. Bra till renskavsgryta med lingon, även till majschips.
