A really pleasing crianza. Red with a light purple tint. I’m told that it is 60% French oak and 40% American. I’m glad for the split because there is a heavy amount of oak on here, and just the right amount. Strong vanilla scents, along with new leather, rose petal, and tobacco. A little fruit, but definitely leans on the oaky tannins. Light to medium in body, and pretty tight. Could definitely use a few more years to age. Some red fruit, a little tomato paste, some pepper and ending with some herbaceous notes underneath.
