I enjoy the Toasted Head cab so I had high expectations for the blend, but I was not a huge fan. A little bitter for me.

This wine goes with absolutely nothing with any kind of strong flavor and should be avoided with milk chocolate and sweets I think. But it pairs fantastically with simple, savory, and even bland foods because it wants to stand out. It's a selfish wine, but rightly so. It has a lovely nose and a dry full flavor (evidence of its barrel aging) strong with fruit and oak and a hint of spice. An absolutely divine wine for its price range.

Yummy. Lovely drinking wine. Good with slightly spiced food, as it tends to be a bit sweeter than many Cabs.

I very much prefer the Cab to this one. You have to enjoy lots of oak to enjoy either, but this one is much more sour and bitter. If you like this but find it a bit too acidic, try the cab.
