Lemon, grapefruit and mineral notes on nose and palate. Wonderful freshness with medium acidity but requisite tension. Good density on the palate with a tinge of honey and pineapple juice to compliment the citrus. More on the austere grapefruit style than the fleshy peachy opulent style. Ticks all the boxes for very good village Meursault from the very good 2014 vintage for White Burgundies. Ready to drink now. Tasted again 22 weeks later on 2nd January 2021 with similar notes. The grapefruit and citrus are still there together with the minerality - this time with a tinge of seashell. I think Julia Harding’s drinking window of 2017 to 2020 is about right. Good to see a quality white burgundy in a screw cap.
