Deeply black fruited, began a little disjointed with a chocolate velvety start that slipped into an aniseed/star anise finish that tasted a bit tart - 92. Second night and fine cloudy tannin came up with a lovely savoury, mildly spiced long finish. Notably resolved from day one. I didn’t plan on leaving some for the next night but would have missed it otherwise.
