Ok enough. Pleasant flavor but a bit too harsh of an after bite for me.

After a string of bad tastings of cali cab, this one shows up and changes my expectations. For the better. While it has bold fruit, it's very balanced and pleasing. Alc is 13.5% which is surprisingly low. It's gulpable! Given the price, I really like it. A great midweek wine.

Solid table wine to go with steak. This one aged nicely. I recommend you don’t skip letting it breathe, as the kind of harsh bite softens with florals and vanilla as it oxidizes.

Medium body. Taste is not extravagant but resembles a "classic" California cab. Notes of bright fruit, oak, spice, and black currant. The tannins are a bit grippy, even grainy, but this could be because the wine was served 10 degrees F high than tastes comfortable.

Not bad a cab when a feeling of disappointment is what was expected. I have found, that with most $15-$20 red wines, the uncomplicated, sweetish vanilla and spice characteristic is what one must prepare himself for, but, if, as a result of fearing being let down, you lower your expectations, Bam!: Magic will happen about 20% of the time!
Its like the wine buyer's version of "Under-promise and over-deliver"
