This 8 year old Chianti Classico is drinking very nicely now.

Showing red and blue fruits with earth, vegetables, tar, herbs, oak, spices, light vanilla, peppercorn and wet leaves.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Nice length on the finish with round tannins.

Spicy and interesting to drink by itself.

Well balanced with nice complexity and nice structure.

Needs an hour to open up properly and show off.

Good by itself and better with food. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

100% Sangiovese grapes were aged in French oak barrels for 24 months. Kosher.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Strong nose of blueberries, cherries, light oak, light vanilla, spices, licorice, tobacco, herbs, earth, light vinaigrette, eucalyptus and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with blueberries, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, coffee, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, peppercorn, light vegetables, pencil lead, tobacco, black olives, earth and light vinaigrette.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 8 year old Sangiovese is drinking very nicely now. Way better than I expected. Not my usual drinker, but I really enjoyed it.
Has a great nose that I can smell on for hours. Soft and warm, elegant and smooth.

Showing a great mouthfeel with nice complexity. A good quality wine that will age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

Needed 90 minutes to bring out the complexity and the structure, but good right out of the bottle, too.

Tasty and good by itself or with food. I paired it with cheeses and olives. Delicious and interesting.

Aged for 24 months in French Oak barrels. 100% Sangiovese grapes were grown at 1,500 feet of elevation. Kosher. Not Mevushal.
