Wow. Cannot overstate how caught off guard I am by how pretty this wine is. Soft, elegant fruit — orange, raspberry, red cherries—herbal, a hint of rain-fresh mud, bright acid and firm tannins add grit. I’m finding more.

Smoky plum, cinnamon, frankincense on nose; balsamic juicy silky young palate. Really reminds me of Valle D'aoste petit rouge or Nebbiolo. A lovely pairing with pasta alla norma.

You don't see much Cappuccio as a varietal.. So I had to buy this as we were leaving Ortigia.. Vibrant, tangy potato skin action. Denser than Mascalese but not as refined..
