Nose has day old brownie (corner - the best part honestly), fading roses/violets, partially dried cherries, dried strawberries, old cedar closet, musky cologne and wood ashes.

Palate has tart cherry, dried cherry, faint eucalyptus, dry soil, partially dried blackcurrant, tar, leather with fading tannins.

Decanted +3H, more time appreciated.
Drink 2026-31.

Decanting...Planning to pair this with Osso Buco tonight, so it's going to be a little more time until I get to notes on this bottle. (The veal shanks are the size of an outstretched hand...I can't wait!)

Nebbiolo how I love you in all your forms...

On the nose, over ripe strawberry, dried cherry, smokey chocolate (oh how I'd love to eat smokey chocolate!).

On the palate, very smooth after 5+ hours decant with tannin only on the end of the finish, smoked truffle, dried strawberry, loamy mineral.

Revisit in 5+ years on remaining stock. Expected life 8-12 years.

Perfect pairing with Osso Buco, after a 3+ hour braise the veal was spoon-able tender.
