11/14/20 - Saturday night and winter is slowly but surely making its way into our lives. After finishing the fall preperation of raking and cleaning the homestead I have made my way into the house to open the 2016 Substance Cs Powerline Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon by Charles Smith.
On the nose there are beautiful expressions of black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, mint, licorice, sage and herbal notes.
On the palate there is black cherry, blackberry, black currant, green bell pepper, black pepper, tobacco, mint, toasted oak and vanilla.
This wine is full bodied with medium + acidity and medium + sandy tannins that move into a long black fruit finish. I hope everyone's weekend is going well and we are enjoying ourselves the best we can. Please stay safe and healthy with a continued wonderful weekend. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Bright ruby color with a hint of rust around the rim. Powerline Vineyard fruit. Intense aromas of violets, minerals and dark fruits. Pallet is rich with blackberry, tobacco and a bit of green pepper. Hint of funky Brett. Medium bodied and very balanced acidity. Long finish. Aging nicely.
