The label has some serious hipster style. Needs a mustache to make it over the top. Looks like a mixologist menu. Darkish color. Smells a bit funky. But good funky. Hint of some green Italian herbs. Maybe sweet savory? And red/black berries. Flavors are a bit muddy but tasty. Interesting mix. Both varietals come through. Tannins and tart cherries from the Sangiovese and licorice and luscious blackberry, mulberry and red peppers from the Petite Verdot. It’s pretty simple, but it’s gratifying.

A lot of red berries and some liquorice in a sweet aroma. Some tartness with a comforting sweetness. Some kick and not dull, nice for the price.
