Red Blend

Big #touriganacional #tintaroriz #syrah #alicantebouschet 35/25/25/15% blend. First day it’s venting off the vanilla from oak but day 2 out of the wine fridge and it’s much more interesting. Purple black in the glass. Dense bramble fruit, slate and pepper aromas, solid acidity and moderate soft tannins avoids the flabby trap. The winemaker seems to be improving every vintage. #wsjwineclub

Decent wine with a bit of a bitter finish, but definitely more floral than expected.

Dark plum color with bold currant notes. No subtlety here, so serve it with grilled burgers or ribs.

Nose matches taste! Strong fruit punch Smell and taste. Yum

Deep purple colour. Smells of jammy black fruit. Tastes of concentrated cooked fruit with savoury biscuit edge. Not much acid but grippy. Dry but with a syrupy thickness. Nice but for me it’s too heavy and lacks freshness to be more than occasionally enjoyed.

LOVE the tannins in this wine - it’s perfect. It’s got very light and smooth aromas with a round taste to it and a smoky finish. (Fun fact - the grapes are grown in a “Jurassic Landscape” alongside Dino fossils so that’s pretty cool)

Color is quite dark with different shades of purple. Nose of dark fruits like cherry, vanilla, oak, prunes, a bit wet mushroom, more vanilla, and some more dark fruits. Taste is quite silky, a bit sweet hickory note, mouthful, vanilla note, smooth and no edge with a bit zesty note. Aftertaste with addition of some acidity, a bit peppery, low tannins and easy to drink. Surely has backbone of Syrah in her.
