A nice and simple Unoaked chardonnay from Oregon.

Showing green apples, grapefruits, bitter herbs, vegetables and almond.

Dry on the palate and light to medium in body with medium plus acidity.

A little bitter for my taste.

I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats, cheeses and crackers.

12.5% alcohol by volume.

83 points.

$15.

This wine has finesse for days. Bright, balanced acidity with an old world flair. Wine maker, Melissa Burr is a force to be reckoned with. Her casual but on point viniculture skills are not only noteworthy but ground breaking and legendary. This winery is not only the first LEED Gold certified winery in the world, they are also B Corp certified! Next on my list is Melissa’s award winning Pinot Noir.

Fruit forward - tropical and lemon. Crisp and clean. A bit bitter on the palate.

On #ChardonnayDay (always the Thursday before Memorial Day!), I stumbled (literally!) across this lovely sample sent to me last fall. Estate grown and fermented and aged in stainless steel, this is a great example of unoaked chardonnay. Pale gold in the glass, it boasts aromas and flavors of juicy apples, pears, peaches, and citrus with mouthwatering acidity. Stoller was the first LEED® Gold certified winery in the world. 13.3% ABV. Screw cap closure. Winemaker: Melissa Burr. Wine Spectator 90 points and Tasting Panel 91 points, for those counting. The 2015 vintage is the current vintage. (sample)

nothing wrong with this Chard! unoaked (I believe) aromas of baked apples, medium weight, medium acid. value (I'm super critical of Chardonnay)
