Mar 18th, 2017Pale lemon in color with a yellow tint.
Bitter nose of green apples, boysenberries, diesel(?), grapefruits, minerals, limes, oak, vanilla and white pepper.
Medium bodied and crisp, with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with grapefruits, limes, lemons, green apples, bitter almonds, some white pepper and cream.
Long finish with bitter almonds.
This Napa Sauvignon Blanc is nice and interesting, with enough complexity to enjoy it by itself.
A Good food wine too. Needs to be fairly chilled to cut out the bitterness.
Feels like a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with some oak in it. I paired it with seabass on a bed of vegetables.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
