Sportoletti
Villa Fidelia Rosso Merlot Blend
Caramel coated almonds - the nose is very interesting..
Dark cherry, prune, raspberry seeds, fresh apricot, mojito mint, edible white flowers.
Firm tannins shake the acidity lose just long enough to bring the heat down from this one.
A lovely Rosso.
Stay healthy friends.

K&L notes,
This is one of our favorite valued-priced Cabernet blends from Italy and the current release is as satisfying as ever. It's a ripe and full-flavored red that remains surprisingly fresh and lengthy on the palate. The previous vintage was a big customer favorite and we expect this one to be met with the same enthusiasm.
The āVilla Fideliaā bottling from Sportoletti has long been a personal favorite of mine. This is one of the benchmark producers from Umbria whose annual offerings have been greeted with high praise from critics and consumers alike. This Merlot based Bordeaux style blends drinks like a much more expensive wine. Thereās gorgeous dark berry fruit with a touch of wood spice and smoky notes on the nose. On the palate the wine expresses itself with a fine mĆ©lange of red and black berries. Thereās enough structure and tannin to keep the wine interesting but not so much that it impinges on the tasters palate. This should be one of our best sellers while supplies last.
