Under $20 Cab Merlot blend from Napa! Not bad. The tannins get a little lost but still brilliant for the price!

Slightly tart but with a smooth finish. Hints of a fruity flavor. Mildly acidic.

Fresh and fruity, would be a solid burger wine. It's the 1% magic that really sold me though.

2012 vintage.

Picked this up because I enjoyed the label and thought "how bad can a cab/merlot blend be?"

It's not bad. It's also very, very not good.

It's a pretty deep ruby color, slight watery rim, and once you stick your nose in this all you get is red fruit and oak. Then you taste it and it just tastes like vanilla creme brulee. There's low acid, short finish and a shit - ton of oak on the palate. What's weirder... there's no tannin. It's smooth, but not the smooth you get from integrated tannins. It's mainly cabernet sauvignon, there should be tannins. A lot of people will love this wine. I'm not one of them.
