Sheldrake Point
Reserve Finger Lakes Cabernet Sauvignon
Very surprising structure on this considering the vintage! Pleasant surprise.

Oct 8th, 2020native yeast funk on nose- I don’t know if it is native yeast. savory then floral. it is corked. I’m not super sensitive to it a though- dried red fruit. guess I shouldn’t bother continuing with notes

Sep 27th, 2021Aromas of stewed fruit. Decent structure, though the tannins are mostly back of tongue and limited in presence. Decent acidity. Tannins coming through a bit more on repeat sips. Okay length.

Jul 25th, 2023Reds are hit or miss in the Finger Lakes, shich is a region better known for whites, especially riesling. However, this vintage sang and was better than average. It is fruity with raspberries but also woody with earthy hints. I think the aging has helped and it will probably get even better over time.
