WOW. Quite possibly the best NYS Pinot I’ve tried. Absolutely puts the lie to the idea that NY can’t make anything other than good reisling, This has everything you could want in an entry level pinot- it’s brambly, textured, savory, with beautifully integrated acids and gentle tannins. Simultaneously dense and feather light. Ready to drink at 6 years old. A beautifully aged Pinot that beats most burgundies I’ve tried below $60. This was $30? Not sure what to make of the few other so-so reviews. But this bottle which was stored in my cellar was ON, no doubt about it.

Apr 7th, 2020Stick to whites from Sheldrake Point given the climate. This young crop of grapes didn't produce a good vintage. Doesn't have the typical pinit noir taste and I didn't finish the bottle.
