Fantastic tension between the crystalline fruit and the stemmy, herbal texture. There's something evocative of great Burgundy here, but rarely have I come across old world wine that so well matches pure fruit with the intensity of whole cluster qualities. I don't know that this wine could have been made anywhere else than Tasmania.

The latest 2015 is no exception with whole bunch vegetal aromas. Spicy cherry and savoury plum flavours with medium + intensity. Good cellaring potential of 5 to 10 years.

Jan 1st, 2017My first Tasmania Pinot. That had some pop for cool climate. Ripe and round. Not to the level of RRV Pinot because it did have some tension and brightness. I'd try some more vintages.
