See previous notes - sadly my last bottle of the 2013. A wonderful Pinot Noir. Along with the red fruits and lovely perfume a distinctly earthy note. The medium bodied palate is polished, fine and long. Owned and made by Shaw + Smith who are based in the Adelaide Hills and transport the grapes from this exceptional terroir in the Coal River Tasmania in refrigerated containers to be vinified in the Adelaide Hills. Quite a daunting exercise but on the evidence of this wine - an absolute triumph.

Dusty stalky stemmy notes which with aeration gave more Red berry perfume but still showing whole bunch. On the palate, Restrained - more Burgundian than new world. The fruit is dialled back in favour of vegetal savouriness and some red berry fruit. A class act. Tasted again 77 weeks later with consistent notes. A nice sweetness to the palate amongst the stalky gingery characters. On 20th November 2018.

At a recent tasting at Berry Bros London of MWs this wine received a lot of praise. Initial toffee oak notes with a hint of cinnamon. A spotlessly clean palate reflecting the purity of Tasmanian wines. Light to medium weight palate yet good concentration. A delicious wine to be admired. 18. #aussiewine

Pale Crimson. Earthy aromas and a genuine Pinot feel. Sticky legs on the glass and a deep palate of red fruits, touch of leather and spice. As good an Australian Pinot that I have tried. Wonderful.
