Dry Amber Khikhvi

beware the hangover. unfiltered qvevri/orange wine from kakheti made from khikhvi grapes, natural fermentation. sounds great on paper. i found it had a heavy dose of cogeners, fusul alcohols, that put off the taste, and produced a wicked headache from only 2 glasses. this shouldn’t be the case, as the bottle indicates sulfites were used. bottle was not offensive on open, just a heavy taste. others rate it highly, perhaps i had a bad batch.
